We partnered with Poppy, Belgium’s leading shared mobility app, to improve their registration flow and overall ride experience. Our redesign led to a 6% increase in completed registrations within the first month and laid the foundation for an ongoing design partnership.

Context
A shared mission
In the realm of shared mobility, user experience is the cornerstone of success. This was our guiding principle when we collaborated with Poppy, Belgium's market leader in shared mobility. Our mission was to revamp their app, enhancing every aspect from registration to ride completion.

Simplify, clarify, convert
We set out to redesign the onboarding experience, boost conversion during sign-up, and rethink core app interactions to make every step of the ride easier.


Approach
Innovating for a seamless journey
Our goal was to create a seamless, stress-free journey for Poppy users by introducing features like Combo Ride for smooth transitions between e-scooters and cars, and AirPoppy for easy airport drop-offs. We also revamped passes and subscriptions to reduce friction and redesigned key touch points to make the entire ride experience more intuitive and enjoyable.

A scalable design system
In the Poppy project, we combined UX design, UI design, and our Design System bundle to elevate the entire app experience. From rethinking onboarding flows to refining key ride features, our services ensured consistency, clarity, and efficiency across the product, supporting both immediate improvements and long-term scalability.

Becoming a trusted design partner
Following the successful redesign, our role expanded to become Poppy's go-to partner for digital design. Our collaboration included advising on a slight rebranding, ensuring their messaging resonated more effectively with users. Though the rebranding execution was handled by another party, our input helped shape the new direction.

Outcome
Within the first month of the new onboarding launch, completed registrations increased by 6%.
